The Cat Group is a collection of professional organisations dedicated to feline welfare through the development and promotion of policies and recommendations on the care and keeping of all cats.

The Cat Group brings together a range of organisations working on cat welfare from slightly different perspectives.

Members are the Feline Advisory Bureau (FAB), Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, Blue Cross, Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA), British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA), European Society of Feline Medicine (ESFM), the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (GCCF), Cats Protection, People's Dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA) and Woodgreen Animal Shelters.

The diversity of the Group allows problems to be identified and provides a wealth of information and experience to find practical solutions to help those working with cats. The Group meets to consider current issues relating to cats with the aim of providing high quality information and recommendations gleaned from these scientific and welfare sources.
