John R. August BVetMed, MS, MRCVS, Diplomate ACVIM
Professor of Feline Internal Medicine
Dr. John August is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Specialty of Small Animal Internal Medicine). He has held faculty appointments at Auburn University and Virginia Tech. In 1986, he joined Texas A&M University as Professor and Head of the Department of Small Animal Medicine and Surgery, and was Deputy Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine. Since 1997, he has held the appointment of Professor of Feline Internal Medicine in the Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences. His professional interests include upper respiratory and oral diseases of cats, and educational technology. He is editor-in-chief of Consultations in Feline Internal Medicine. The sixth volume was published by Elsevier in 2009.

Dannièlle Gunn-Moore BSc, BVM&S, PhD, FHEA, MACVSc, MRCVS, RCVS Specialist in Feline Medicine
Danièlle Gunn-Moore is a RCVS Specialist in Feline Medicine. She graduated with Distinction from the R(D)SVS, Edinburgh, in 1991. After a year in small animal practice she joined The Feline Centre at the University of Bristol as the Feline Advisory Bureau Scholar. After that she held the Duphar Feline Fellowship, then completed a PhD study into Feline Infectious Peritonitis. After a short period as Lecturer in Veterinary Pathology at the University of Bristol, she returned to Edinburgh to Head the Feline Clinic, where her post was initially supported by Nestlé Purina. She is Professor of Feline Medicine and Head of Small Animal Science.
