In conjunction with the European Society of Feline Medicine (ESFM) Congress on dentistry and pain management in Amsterdam (June 17-20), the European Veterinary Dental Society is running dental wetlabs on Thursday, June 17 at the University of Utrecht.
All wetlabs will last for 3 hours (morning or afternoon) and will allow participants to practise on cat cadaver heads under the guidance of experienced tutors Margherita Gracis, Philippe Hennet, Paul Cooper and Marnix Lamberts. Tutors will go on to speak at the ESFM Congress at the Krasnapolsky Hotel, Amsterdam.
There will be a maximum of 16 students per session and participants can choose between basic and advanced levels. Basic courses will cover radiology, periodontal examination and treatment, and dental extractions. Advanced courses will cover palatal surgery and mandibular/maxillary fracture repair.
Tea and coffee will be provided during the day and the university cafeterias can be used for lunch.
The cost of attending one session will be 275 Euros (£250.00). A morning and an afternoon session will cost 500 Euros (£460.00). The price includes a ticket for the short train journey from the ESFM Congress in central Amsterdam to the University of Utrecht.
